 "Prefer this to Graco" 2010-01-22
By Jeff (In PA)
I replaced a faulty Graco swing that ceased working after a few weeks because the motor died with this swing.

I enjoy this Fischer-Price swing far more for several reasons:

1. The swing has already proved more reliable and outlived the Grace - not hard to do - but it is swinging very consistently.

2. The option to swing side-to-side or front-to-back is enjoyable not just to my baby, but allows me to turn her to face me.

3. The active mobile is well-placed and more intriguing to my baby than the passive Graco one.

4. The single arm suspension and nice height of this swing makes it effectively take less space. You can actually store small things underneath it. All swings are large, but this one seems to economize space much better.

5. The plush interior and pillow are much nicer than the Graco.

6. Assembly is easier and instructions are clearer.

On the downside, this swing takes batteries. Others were complaining about their fast depletion. I put in some totally cheap batteries and they have lasted several weeks with nightly use. Therefore, I feel like this is not an issue for me and I now prefer the mobility that battery operation offers.

Also the price is slightly more than the best Graco's but in this case the reliability, superior design and added features are worth it.

 "Fantastic" 2010-01-22
By PJD (NYC)
This swing is great for our son. It cuddles him and props him up just the right amount so he is comfortable, especially good after a big feeding. Also, the music is shockingly not annoying even includes classical and nature sounds. The mobile is also wonderful and I actually like that it turns itself off after awhile. I put it on my baby registry as a whim because I thought it looked adorable and liked the star shaped lights. I didn't think we would receive for it was a bit pricey. It turns out to be the best thing we received. I highly recommend.

"I'm sorry but this thing is LOUD" 2010-01-20
By A. Simeone (USA)
My 4 month old daughter tends to take longer naps while she's being swung, however the motor is LOUD and make a constant CLUNK noise (and no, it doesnt sound like there is something wrong with it - just seems like the normal sound)right above her head and it startles her when I lay her down for a nap. The swing function really does not vary much - when she was a newborn even the slowest setting was WAY too fast (she was just under 7 lbs) and now at just under 15lbs none of the speeds make much of a difference.

I'm also not really a fan of the music - it's kind of fake/tinny and actually kind of creeps me out a little bit.

The colors are very muted, but she does like the lights above and they show onto the canopy very well at night with dimmed lights. This is also a very awkward swing to move and it does take up a good 3 feet of space.

"I wish there was an adult version..." 2010-01-20
By One Small Voice (Kentucky)
I bought this swing after I realized baby preferred rocking side to side and not just front to back (as with the travel swing I had bought--worth the increase in space needed for the larger swing!). Good variety of music/nature sounds (adjustable volume) and attractive color scheme. Lining for the Little Lamb swing is plush and very soft. I didn't find it an issue with the headrest being restrictive to head movement--however, he mostly just sleeps in the swing (headrest gives very good support). After having it for a couple of months he has stayed in his swing for countless hours. Amazon appears to have the best price--it's $150 at several other stores (e.g. BRU and Target). I would like to mention that it's not quite as quiet as I hoped; it still makes an audible clicking noise as it swings. It also takes a couple of minutes to get up to speed (which can seem like forever in baby time!). Other than that it was a great purchase.

 "Ahhhh.... Relief!" 2010-01-16
By Lynda J. Hanford (Fort Lauderdale, FL)
I ordered this swing on Monday, received it today (Friday of the same week), and my 6-week old is already asleep in it after about 15 minutes of her first time in it. Now that is great news for mommy!

So far, so good. I will update my review if anything changes as we use it more but so far I am happy!
